Monster Hunter 3 pushed out of Q1 2010
The western release of Capcom’s online RPG is getting delayed along with some other big titles.

The first quarter of 2010 was looking like one of the most congested quarters in a while, and Capcom at least seems to have decided to give some of its games more of a chance to sell by pushing them back. Monster Hunter 3 for Wii is among Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV and Dead Rising 2.

Capcom plans to spread these games over their own fiscal year, which begins in April. Reasons given are as follows:

  • Avoid competing with the major titles that other companies plan to introduce in the 4th quarter
  • Preserve the value of Capcom’s titles and maximise sales volume
  • Expand the lineup of titles in the next fiscal year and afterward

No actual new dates have been provided yet, unfortunately, so we have no idea when we might be able to do some co-op monster hunting.
