‘Blazblue Battle X Battle’ heading to DSiWare
Arc System Work’s new 2D fighting franchise will be getting the DSiWare treatment, offering fighting fans their first handheld taste of the popular new series.

The sequel will feature five familiar characters from the original title—Jin, Noel, Rachel, Ragna and Taokaka—who will brawl it out in four-way ‘rumble style’ bouts, with ad-hoc multiplayer support. The game will go for 500 points in Japan when it releases in January next year.

This year’s console release of Blazblue Calamity Trigger was a big hit amongst the fighting game community, showcasing bright and snappy hand-drawn 2D visuals and an innovative new fighting system. The new series held up its own against new releases from hi-profile fighting mainstays such as Street Fighter, Tekken and King of Fighters in both the West and the game’s homeland of Japan.
