One of Australia’s few claims to fame in the game development sphere, Infinite Interactive, have announced that their flagship title, Puzzle Quest, will be receiving a sequel next year. The DS is set to be one of the few consoles to host the puzzling action.
The sequel the award-winning Puzzle Quest, the aptly named Puzzle Quest 2 has been awarded the most prestigious title of ’Top Upcoming Sequel of 2010’ in the video game magazine, GamePro. Hopefully the enthusiasm will last until release, which is slated for Spring 2010.
As for features, Puzzle Quest 2 is almost overflowing with them. Players will be able to select and play as one of four classes: War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Assassin, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Players will be able to level up their selected character through numerous challenges in a story mode. Other modes include the frantic action of ’Instant Action’ or perhaps the more in-depth challenge of ’Tournament Mode’, not to mention ’Multiplayer Mode’, a rather self-explanatory mode.
