The recently trademarked ‘Last Window’ is in fact a sequel to the puzzle adventure game ‘Hotel Dusk Room 215’ on Nintendo DS.

Nintendo made the announcement today in Japan that ‘Mayonak no Yakusoku’ or ‘Last Window’ will be released there on January 14 next year. The sequel is being developed by the same development team Cing who are also responsible for the similar adventure game ‘Another Code: Two memories’.

The announcement ends speculation on what the Last Window would be, with some Nintendo fans hoping (wishing?) the title would be that of a Wii Zelda sequel. The original Hotel Dusk was pretty heavy with dialogue text, so don’t expect a western localization to arrive any time soon.
