Could Electroplankton be getting a second look into for Australia? The game was set to come to Australia and Nintendo Australia opted not to release it, but now, according to the Australia Classification Board, Nintendo might have had a change of heart with Electroplankton being rated for release.
Now this is where it becomes tricky; is this rating simply for the Electroplankton releases on the DSiWare service? The game’s different plankton modes have been split up and released for 200 points each in Japan, and it’s possible we’ll see them here—or could it be a new Club Nintendo prize? Game and Watch Collection had to be rated even though it technically wasn’t on sale and was only available in Australia through the Club. Conveniently the Club Nintendo Australia site is also down at the moment too.
Either way, if you didn’t import the game before, it could be time to get jamming.
First released in Japan in 2005 and later in Europe and America in 2006, Electroplankton is a game where you control and move around plankton to create music. You can’t save or share the music, the idea is to be spontaneous and make something different everytime.
