EA Sports Active to gain More Workouts
EA’s most popular Wii game is set to get an expansion later this year, with over 35 new exercises and more.

EA Sports Active, released in May this year, is an exercise game akin to Wii Fit. It has collected quite positive feedback since release with a score of 81 on Metacritc. It has also sold over 1.8 million units, seemingly prompting EA to try to extend it.

The expansion includes more workouts, a retail expansion to the original game, contains improvements across the board, including a new six-week challenge with a customise weekly schedule and a weekly check-in. There will also be a emphasis on abdominal exercises like curl ups, crunches, and punches, alongside a new warm-up/cool-down feature.

EA has been on a bit of a roll with good Wii titles of late, so here’s hoping this will be a worthwhile addition to the first game.

EA Sports Active More Workouts doesn’t currently have a confirmed Australian release date, but will be heading to Europe on November 20th.
