A Final Fantasy for WiiWare; new Art Style, and Animal Crossing calculator and clock for DSi but no Virtual Console updates this week.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years heads up this weeks selection of downloable games from Nintendo, offering the first installment of meaty RPG content on WiiWare. The 800 point download is the base pack for what will be monthly series of DLC ‘chapters’ from Square Enix, with each chapter chronicling a different adventure in the aftermath of the original Final Fantasy IV quest. The base package contains Ceodore’s story, with the DLC titles ‘Rydia’s Tale’ available from today also for 300 points. No dates have been given for the PAL release of the remaining chapters, but we can expect them to appear in the following order and associated points cost:

Yang’s Tale "The Master of Fabul" 300 points
Palom’s Tale "The Mages Voyage" 300 points
Edge’s Tale "The Pulse of Babil" 300 points
Porom’s Tale "The Vanished Lunar Whale" 300 points

The Lunarians Tale "The Blue Planet That Was" 300 points
The Crystals "The Planet Eater" 800 points

DSi owners can download a new Animal Crossing themed calculator and clock for 200 points each. The only new game for DSi is Art Style: KUBOS, for 500 points- a simple action/puzzle game that mixes platforming with block-stacking puzzles.
