Wii now costs 45% less to manufacture since 2006
Making a Wii now costs Nintendo only half of what it used to. Koya Tabata, a grey-suit wearing analyst from international finance firm Credit Suisse, has had a look at Nintendo’s operation costs, and determined that technological advances and streamlining of the manufacturing process now means that each Wii console made by Nintendo now costs them 45% less than what it did when the console launched in 2006.
