Nintendo reveal first party line-up for 2009, well some of it
Nintendo has revealed it's upcoming 2009 release list, and while far from complete, the list confirms titles for all regions, including ones not previously announced for a release outside of Japan. But what is strange, is what's NOT on the release list. Here in the PAL regions we get the short end of the stick much more often than other regions, but for a change it seems we get a lot of titles that other regions don't (or at least haven't had announced yet). More inside.
So far confirmed to be leaving the land of the rising sun are Sin & Punishment 2, Another Code R, Wii Sports Resort and Endless Ocean 2, which are all due out sometime in 2009 (IE. This year!). The US release list, however, lacks Another Code and Endless Ocean, which is disappointing to say the least. However, it's important to stress that this list is not final or complete, as the Kirby Wii title thats been on the release list since the Gamecube days is still evident. European release list follows;
Nintendo DS Walk with me! Do you know your walking routine? bundled with two Activity Meters 2009/2/20 (Will not be released in Australia) Rhythm Paradise CY2009 Pokemon Platinum version CY2009 Mario and Luigi RPG 3(Temp.) 2009 Kirby Super Star Ultra(Temp.) 2009 Nintendo DSi (hardware) Spring-Summer 2009 Wii NEW PLAY CONTROL! PIKMIN 2009/2/6 (Dated for 26th in Australia) NEW PLAY CONTROL! MARIO POWER TENNIS 2009/3/6 (Dated for 26th in Australia) Punch-Out!!(Temp.) CY2009 First half NEW PLAY CONTROL! PIKMIN 2 CY2009 First half Wii Sports Resort 2009 Sin & Punishment 2(Temp.) 2009 Another Code R(Temp.) 2009 Endless Ocean 2(Temp.) 2009
While the European release schedule is never going to be the same as the Australian one, juust remember European games are the same region as Australia and thus we hope they serve as more than enough motivation to get Nintendo to make sure their dates for Australia are closer than we think (or should I say, hope).
