Nintendo has released its financial results for the nine month period before the end of 2008. While DS and Wii sales have of course performed well, Nintendo has revised their estimates and profits on the back of the stronger Yen. Nintendo now expects to sell 1 million fewer Wii consoles this financial year than the last. But it’s not all bad news as Nintendo has seen global sales of 1,536 billion yen- a close to 17% increase on the same period back in 2007, profit were up as well 27%. There has now been 96.22m DS’ and 45 million Wii consoles shipped worldwide..
