DSiWare store to get refreshed today
Nintendo of Japan will be refreshing the DSi Ware available to Japanese DSi owners this Wednesday (28th) and marks the first update since the service went live on Christmas Eve last year. In the mix this month are a couple more remixes of Clubhouse Games card games, a couple of new Art Style titles, some new puzzlers and a new clock accessory. No new free apps hit this month with the first two cheapest offerings being 200 Nintendo Points. More inside.
The first is a clock that uses photos taken from the camera. This application, aptly named DSi Clock, also allows you to record your own alarms. Also available for 200 points is DSi Solitaire which contains three card games (Solitaire, Klondike, and Spider) featuring cat shapes. The rest of the titles contain a bit more meat and are at the higher but still cheap price point of 500 points. First up is a new Art Style game titled PiCOPiCT, which is best described as a combination of Picross and falling blocks – it features a bunch of Nintendo franchises in it too. The second Art Style game is one called Somnium and is a sliding puzzler. Videos of both are included at the bottom of this story. The rest of the games, which go for 500 points each, include Chotto Panel de Pon (an online-less version of Planet Puzzle League which Nintendo never released here), and Chotto Suujin Taisen from Mitchell Corp. (the makers of Polarium) which features online multiplayer. The last one is three games from Club House Games, which include BlackJack and Power. Finally (this one will only appeal to the Japanese obviously) is Hobonichi Rosenzu, a map application for the public transport system routes in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Sapporo.
We’ll have impressions on as many of these as soon as possible. Source: TinyCartridge
