Again, it seems that nothing can stop the juggernaut that is the Wii, with Nintendo recording record sales for both the Wii and DS in Europe over 2008. Wii sales continued to rise from 2007 with a gain of 58 percent with 8.3 million units sold; the figure now means that the Wii has had the largest annual sales of any home console in Europe – ever. The DS also sold through an impressive 11.2 million in 2008, bringing the total to a massive 31 million. .
