Codemasters has announced that they are bringing out a sequel to 2007’s DiRT, and this time it is heading to the Wii and Nintendo DS along with the 360, PS3, PSP and PC. The game will be named Colin McRae: DiRT 2 with the legendary rally driver headlining the game as a mark of respect to Colin who passed away last year. The name has the blessing of the McRae family. Gavin Raeburn executive producer at Codemasters has said that “Colin McRae was all about the speed, the excitement and the entertainment of rally driving. Even when we first worked with him over ten years ago, he captured a freedom and a spirit that enthralled rally fans.”. All versions of the game are due out in 2009.
