Mario Kart Wii already succumbing to cheaters online
While it hasn’t even been released in Australia or America yet, it seems European and Japanese Mario Kart Wii owners have already figured out how to fudge times in the game’s online Time Trials. The method involves doing one lap of a course and after finishing this first lap, the player turns the kart back around to face the finishing line and then quits. More inside.
Magically the time will be saved, with some karters showing off ridiculously impossible times. However, it seems Nintendo has already clamped down hard on the issue by deleting obviously faked records and allegedly blocking it from happening again. If fixed it’s a win for Nintendo, but obviously a patching system would come in handy at this point. Source: GoNintendo & ONM
