Nintendo has now become the top video game developer, according to Game Developer Magazine. Nintendo's move to the #1 spot has pushed publishing giant EA down to the second spot. Interestingly, this is the very first occasion in which EA has failed to claim the top spot. Publishing quality is judged based on review scores, product quality, and revenue. On the back of the highly successful Wii and DS, it is perhaps unsurprising that Nintendo has claimed top spot. Here's hoping Nintendo can continue their current generation success and maintain the top position..
