The Nintendo resurgence continues and this time it’s local, for the third quarter of this year in Australia the Nintendo DS was the number one selling platform, whereas the Wii was best selling next generation console, outselling both the Xbox 360 and PS3 by significant margins, though still behind the PS2. The last reported figures for the GameCube put the oblong system at 162, 936 units sold back at the end of Q3 2006 and the Wii has now passed that at 167,899 units sold.
