Nintendo now the 2nd most valuable company in Japan
Nintendo has now overtaken Canon to become the second most valuable company in Japan behind Toyota. Naturally, this new milestone has been attributed to the Wii and Nintendo DS as they continue to blow out sales charts worldwide. Shares for Nintendo rose, giving it the edge over Canon, whose market value sits at 8.20 trillion yen compared to Nintendo at 8.34 trillion yen. However don’t expect Nintendo to claim that number one spot anytime soon because Toyota is worth nearly three times as much coming in at 24 trillion yen..
