Electronic Arts today announced that Ronaldinho, two-time FIFA World Player of the Year, will headline FIFA 08's cover athletes. Ronaldinho will be the face for the global marketing campaign and will appear on every cover with another star more relevant to the country of release. For example, Miroslav Klose will grace the Germany cover alongside Ronaldinho, and Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid will be appearing with Ronaldinho on the Spanish cover of FIFA 08. Selected FIFA World Player 2004 and 2005, and a finalist last season, Ronaldinho will take his place on FIFA 08 covers alongside star players from other select teams in countries around the world. The body movements, individual moves and playing style of each athlete is being captured, digitized and will become the life-like movement of the virtual players in future versions of EA’s FIFA games.
