Splatoon’s online functions were down earlier today for maintenance and when they return there was a fresh new update.

Splatoon version 1.2.0 has now been released and promises ‘adjustments’ for a more pleasant gaming experience. Some of our readers have noticed an increased frame-rate in Inkopolis which was well below the silky smooth 60fps of the rest of the game.

If you notice anything else changed let us know in the comments.

Ah nice! It was puzzling why the fps there was so low. Will give this a shot tonight and SS if any weapons feel different. But odd in the timing though, seeing as yesterday saw a few new things open up.

They need adjust the points modifier applied to rollers or rather, nerf the splattergun modifier to bring it in line with the rest of the weapons. It is so easy to get 1500-1700 with splatter if you are on the winning side, irrespective of kdr. Roller on the other hand, with a near perfect game you are lucky to get 1100-1200.

They patched a bug in the game that let you refresh your money after buying stuff from Spyke, seems Nintendo is pretty on the ball with these things

It’s nice that Nintendo are doing this for free but one gets the feeling that the game was rush-released, a few more months would have been turned this game into a masterpiece
