Space Harrier 3D rated in Australia, worldwide release confirmed

It would appear the the remake 3DS eShop remake of Space Harrier, funnily enough titled 3D Space Harrier is coming outside of Japan. The game was rated by the Australian Classification Board earlier today and it’s unlikely that Australia would be the only region getting the game so look for an official announcement from either Sega or Nintendo shortly.

Based on the arcade release, 3D Space Harrier  is a new 3D remake of Space Harrier (not to be confused with Space Harrier 3-D). Finally a 3D Classics title that might be worth playing.

Anyone keen on this arcade classic?

Boy, I loved this game when I was younger. I’m so glad it’s being re-released on modern consoles finally.

Since when were Xevious, Twinbee, Excitebike and Kid Icarus not worth playing? :S

That’s awesome news! Space Harrier is a SEGA classic and made em’ millions of bucks through the years. Curious to play this 3D incarnation of the title…. I suppose if this is successful, SEGA will re-release enhanced and in 3D other classic titles… 3D Outrun, 3D Afterburner, 3D Galaxy Force, 3D Thunderblade…….
