regionthree homebrew hack enables region free gaming on the 3DS
A region free hack has been released for all models of Nintendo 3DS, except for New 3DS models.
Unlike the NINJHAX exploit from a few months ago, this hack does not require any specific game inserted to function, nor does it allow for other homebrew software to run.
By taking advantage of a security hole in the Download Play function of the 3DS, along with a specific file on the SD card, this hack allows users to play Game Cards from other regions on their 3DS system.
The hack also requires either an internet connection, or a specific Android app and some fooling around with 3DS network settings, in order to work.
It’s also worth noting, that this hack does not enable piracy on the 3DS. So far it only seems to function as a method to play games from other regions.
You would think Nintendo would just remove region locking from the system, I mean that is the main focus for hackers, is getting that removed.
This will be patched.
