Red Fly Studio reveals binned Wii prototypes including Devil May Cry and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter remake

The success of the Wii brought a lot of games with it, games you wouldn’t even think of having a chance of being made. Red Fly Studio have released new videos of prototype Wii games that they thought could have had a chance of being made – the Wii did sell over 100 million units.

Test footage of Batman: Arkham Asylum, a port of the original Devil May Cry, Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and a reboot of Nanmco’s Dig Dug have all been posted to the developers website today.

It’s interesting to think what these versions of the games could have offered, especially Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. After not getting the Factor-5 led Star Wars Rogue Squadron collection that hurts even more.

It’s not known how long was actually spent on these prototypes and they might have never gone anyway – but it’s nice to imagine.

RIP Carrie Fisher.
