Pokémon GO could get trainer battles in the future
The developer of Pokémon Go, Niantic have already promised many more updates to the game will launch in the near future, one of them however hasn’t been trainer battles as of yet.
Speaking a TechCrunch Disrupt SF, Niantic CEO has revealed that the feature could be on the way. But it doesn’t sound like it will be anytime soon.
I have 10 year old son – he’s my Pokémon expert, we play together – he wants to battle his friends in Pokémon Go. Battling is something we talk a lot about. It’s probably something that will make its way onto our roadmap.
You can in the game currently fight and train at a Pokemon Gym, but Pokemon battles are a huge part of the series and it would be great to see them included. Hanke says that what’s in the game currently is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’ and says Pokemon Go will continue to evolve over time.
