Playtonic give update on Yooka-Laylee for the Nintendo Switch
The flashback to the 90s that is Yooka-Laylee is currently on track for release on the other consoles in a couple of weeks. The Switch version however? Well that’s still an unknown.
Speaking in a new interview, Playtonic have given an update on the Switch version and there’s not much new to report just yet;
It’s a bit too early to go into specifics with this version, but rest assured we’re working directly with Nintendo to get it out as soon as possible for our many fans and Kickstarter backers on that platform. We’re big Nintendo fans here, so it’s very exciting to be working on Nintendo Switch.

Who cares banjo and koozie was the most overated game I ever played
I care. Banjo Kazooie was, in my opinion, one of the best N64 games.
As a Nintendo Switch owner, I’m going to buy this for the Switch! Ive sold my ps4 and xbone due to lack of interest. I’m enjoying my Switch and excited to see third party support!
I’m a sad bastard who’s hoping for a physical release on Switch. I know I’ve got more chance of winning lotto at this point, but you never know.
Can’t see why not. EB Games is listing it currently although that might not necessarily be based on any sound information. Unless it flops at retail on Xbox and PS I can’t see why they wouldn’t offer a physical Switch copy too.

I moved my KS pledge from an Xbox edition to the Switch. Same with one other KS I have. Love the idea that I can take these games with me on the go, and for these smaller sorts of releases I doubt I’ll lose much in the way of graphics fidelity anyway.
Works out good for us I reckon. If it turns out to be a turd we’ll have a heads-up.
I heard that they’re trying to use the Nintendo’s joycon gyro control. That slightly delays the release.
