Pikmin 4 in development and is ‘very close to completion’
The gap between the second Pikmin game and the third might have been huge but it would appear we won’t be waiting long for Pikmin 4.
Eurogamer is reporting that Pikmin 4 is in development, their source? None other than Shigeru Miyamoto himself. During an interview in July, Mr Miyamoto revealed that Pikmin 4 was underway and “It’s actually very close to completion”. So much so that “Pikmin teams are always working on the next one.”
We’re pretty sure that means people working on Pikmin games and not teams of Pikmin.
This wasn’t an off the cuff remark or mistranslation either as Nintendo have confirmed that the game is development in a separate statement. “We can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present.” they told Eurogamer as well.
This ‘announcement’ raises more questions than it answers, like why are we only hearing about it now. More importantly though which system is it coming to?

Be interested to know myself… Would love another Pikmin game for Wii U but I’m sure they are going to hold it off for the NX.
Yeah, I’d be surprised if this was coming to Wii U. I can still hope, though…
As much as another Wii U 2016 game sounds cool, I want this to be a NX launch title, it needs killer apps from day one
I’d love another Pikmin game, but not for Wii U. I’m so ready for a new Nintendo console.
I’m guessing it’s still 2 years away and will be an NX launch title as I think the NX will be November 2017.
