Paper Mario: Sticker Star, White 3DS XL and other 3DS goodies dated

This morning Nintendo Australia has dated and announced windows for a bunch of Nintendo 3DS titles for 2012 and beyond. The big one though is the release date for Paper Mario: Sticker Star which is set to be released on the 8th of December. That’s around the same time date (even before with time zones) as Japan and Europe. Nintendo America get it a month earlier however.

As the name suggests Paper Mario: Sticker Star introduces stickers into the Paper Mario world. Stickers are found all around the game world and can be peeled off and applied to characters to boost powers or give special moves. You’ll even be able make stickers from items found in game. ‘Paper Mario’ was one of the original titles announced alongside the Nintendo 3DS over two years ago, it’s great to finally have a date.

So what else is coming?

The White Nintendo 3DS XL is also coming to Australia and it will have Mario Kart 7 pre-installed on the SD card. That’s out on December 6th.

Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique will also be out on November 17th as well and will be available like Paper Mario: Sticker Star from retail and the eShop. Nintendo Australia has also confirmed that we’ll be getting Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (from them) before March 2013 and that Virtue’s Last Reward and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked will also be out this year.

Nintendo has confrmed a bunch of eShop titles that will be making their way here before the end of the year. For November we’ll be getting Pokedex Pro 3D (November 8th), Fallblox, Hydroventure: Spin Cycle and Air Porter. For December we have Denpa Men: They Came by Wave and Nano Assault EX.

Phew. Who’s buying what then?

    Paper Mario for sure!!
I hope the demo for Denpamen comes out as well, I want to see how it plays before I buy it, and I’m sure the price will be $15.

Been waiting so long for Overclocked – damn you region locking!!

    Any word on Crimson Shroud?

I’ll be getting Sticker Star, VLR, Fallblox, Pokedex Pro, Hydroventure, and Denpa Men. I’ll also get Crimson Shroud (if it comes out in December like the eShop trailer says it will).

There goes all my money 🙁

I don’t understand how the Pokedex Pro can be useful, its just an expensive 3D model viewer. You can look up pokemon online for free on your smartphone or PC, as using it on the 3DS would be disruptive (if you play Pokemon on the 3DS – quit game, open pokedex look up pokemon, close pokedex, start up pokemon, load game etc). I’m surprised Dream Radar is so cheap in comparison and Dream Radar is much much more useful for Pokemon (sorry for the rant, just my little thought on the Pokedex and how its currently the most expensive and rather pointless eShop item there is, excluding the retail games).

Anyways, I’m likely to get Denpamen and Crimson Shroud from the eShop in December 🙂

That’s totally fair, but you’re forgetting one important factor – pokemon is like crack and sadly I must have it all 🙁

Can someone tell me how the 3DS data transfer works when the XL has preloaded content? (aka MK7). It’s not both systems which get wiped right just the original system?

Are you asking if transferring from one system (a) to another (b) will wipe whatever is on b? The answer there is yes, it will. The target system is wiped and replaced with the data from the source system. The source system s then totally wiped and reset to original settings. Hope that helps 🙂

Ahh, but didn’t it say that the MK7 came preloaded on the SD card of the 3DS XL? So couldn’t you technically just remove the SD card, do the transfer, and put the SD card back in?

No i was asking since i am interested in getting the white one preloaded with MK7. I have a Zelda edition 3DS currently and would want to transfer all my data to the White edition but obviously wouldn’t want to lose MK7.

Maybe we have to wait when the unit comes out and some “guinea pigs” try it out first 😛

I am incredibly irritated over the release delay for Denpa Men and Paper Mario. One month on the latter and the US already has the former. I can not express my dislike of events like this enough.
