No Internet Browser ‘filter’ in Australian New Nintendo 3DS models
When the New Nintendo 3DS and New 3DS XL were announced for Japan they also announced that the new and improved browser would have a content filter on it by default. We can confirm that the Australian version of the console does not have such a filter.
Upon booting the browser here in Australia on an Australian console any and all websites are available to view. There are of course parental controls to block access to the browser if you want to in every 3DS console.
In Japan the filter blocks a laundry list of sites including like YouTube, Reddit and well… porn. It can be disabled for a small fee that requires a credit card. Kiddies can’t get credit cards you see.
Well then, time to use that New and powerful browser to watch so many videos… of cats.
