Nintendo is keen on helping third parties with Wii and DS

At the Nintendo Q&A session following Nintendos recent finance results briefing, Shinji Hatano Nintendos General Manager of Marketing said that he wants to maintain a level of quality with third parties regarding their Wii and DS titles. He continued to say that lots of third parties are coming to Nintendo and asking for help on how to best utilise the new Wiis motions controls as well as the Nintendo DSs touch screen. More inside Nintendo doesnt want to tell them what do to but they do want to offer advice and co-operate with them so that third party titles are more accessible and in turn better. If this move results in less shovel ware games then it can only be good. Games such as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and Flash Focus (Sight Training) are examples of this new found relationship.
