Nintendo Europe offering early ‘New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Edition’ to some Club Nintendo members

Advertisement

Nintendo Europe is currently in the process of sending emails to select Club Nintendo members offering the chance to purchase a ‘New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Edition’ before the official release of the console in Europe.

The ‘New Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Edition’ contains the yet to be released console with everything you’d expect in with the console normally plus an exclusive Ambassador Edition cover plate (which won’t be available anywhere else), white Super Smash Bros cover plates (front and back) and a white recharging dock.

This bundle is available to purchase (if you get the email) before January 12th and the entire bundle will set Europeans back around £179.99.

So Europeans are you going to bite? Aussies would you snap this up if we hadn’t already got the console?

    This is pretty cool!

    I’m still upset I lost my original Ambassador status when I bought a new 3DS – stupid past me.

    Whoa! are you not able to transfer Ambassador to the new device? Is it impossible, or did you just miss out? I was thinking of upgrading but will avoid it if i lose Ambassador…

    What a shame this wasn’t done for Australia. Even though I already got a New Nintendo 3DS XL and transferred my ambassador(ship) to it from my original black 3DS, I’d totally buy another one of it was like this.

    I’d say…no. The collector in me just isn’t big enough to warrant all the trouble and cost in buying it, sending it to a shipping forwarder to deliver it to Australia. I realised this when I took far too long in deciding whether or not to do the same with the ORAS Steelbooks and by the time I decided, it was sold out.

    @Shay and @James
    I recently purchased the new 3DS and I was able to transfer the my ambassador status.

    To the people above, you can transfer your ambassador games to a new / New 3DS no problem. They get moved over during the system transfer along with everything else.

    I’d be tempted if it were available here, but I’m still holding out for a limited edition New 3DS XL to replace my Pikachu 3DS XL. Going from a limited edition 3DS XL to a plain-design New 3DS XL would feel like a downgrade. =P
