Massive Nintendo Download Updates: Monsters, Ubisoft Bargains and Punch Outs

After some relatively quiet weeks on the Wii U front, we’ve got a decently well sized update for both Wii U and 3DS this week.

Starting with one of our most anticipated titles, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be up on the eShop for both Wii U and 3DS. Being on both platforms, this game has a unique feature where players can be playing together regardless of whether they are using a Wii U or 3DS. To facilitate this, there is another download of Packet Relay Tools which allows the 3DS to share the Wii U’s online system. There’s also a save file transfer application allowing you to move your save between devices.

That’s not all though, we’ve also got Need for Speed: Most Wanted U. This one’s supposed to be the best console version of the game, and introduces game modes such as “Co-Driver” where players can co-operate using Wii Remotes and the GamePad.

The Famicom 30^th Anniversary campaign continues with this months title, Punch-Out!!. Coming in at 30 cents, we definitely recommend grabbing this while it’s on sale. In this NES classic, you take rookie boxer Little Mac through a series of increasingly tough battles against opponents such as Soda Popinski and Glass Joe. The release is based on the US-NTSC version, and so will be presented in 60Hz.

The 3DS gets some love too, with its own version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate along with the file transfer and online tools to work with the Wii U. We’ll also receive a free demo of HarmoKnight. In Harmoknight you help Tempo, a boy wielding a legendary staff, as they travel across Melodia through stages of rhythm-action. It even includes some tunes from the Pokémon games!

We get some specials on a selection of Wii U downloads as well, and a price drop on the Pokedex 3D Pro application for 3DS.
