Reminder: Nintendo holding New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coin Rush Competition (This Weekend!)
Nintendo Australia has posted a new competition it’s website, one that requires you to register before you can partake in an event.
On August 11th Nintendo will be holding the ‘Ultimate Coin Rush Experience’ at three secret EB locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
So what’s required? You’ll need to form a team of four friends to partake in the Gold Rush mode challenge from New Super Mario Bros 2. The team that scores the most points will become the ultimate championship team.
The winning team will each receive a new 3DS XL console and a copy of New Super Mario Bros 2 each. Looks like everyone will be taking golden showers that night.
Nintendo normally doesn’t require you to sign up for these sort of competitions, but this time they have. So if you’re keen and you think you’ve got what it takes head over to Nintendo Australia’s website to sign up your team.
New Super Mario Bros 2. releases on August 18th (yes a Saturday) and the Nintendo 3DS XL is out the week after on the 23rd.

It’s probably going to be the obvious. Otherwise that shiny Nintendo Experience would be going to waste.
Reminds me of the great NSMBWii ‘Find the Coin’ Comp/Fiasco of 2010.. thank goodness this is involving actual gameplay.
