Nintendo announces New Nintendo 3DS XL Samus Returns Special Edition

Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed the Samus Edition for Australia, it’s out here on September 16th. As expected it is exclusive to EB Games and available to preorder now.
Nintendo of America has announced a new Special Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL “Samus Edition”. So far the unit has only been announced for America and Europe, hopefully, by morning we’ll have it announced for Australia.
The Samus Edition 3DS XL will be released on September 15th, the same day as Metroid: Samus Returns.

Frankly, I was expecting a much flashier design, but whatevs. Seeing as we aren’t getting the special edition of the game itself, there’s next to zero chance of this coming to Australia. 🙁
I would almost certainly grab this if this were to come to Australia though. I’m so embarrassed playing with my Happy Home Designer N3DSXL on the train, and I’d only bought that less than a year ago. =P
