New Fire Emblem title coming to the Nintendo 3DS

A brand new Fire Emblem game was announced during last night’s Nintendo Direct.
Simply called Fire Emblem so far here in the west the game is entirely brand new, it just doesn’t have an official name yet. In Japan, the game is called Fire Emblem If.
What ever the ‘if’ means.

The section of the trailer with all the areas and islands in the sky and whatnot reminded me of Hyrule Warriors’ time shenanigans.
Maybe this Fire Emblem deals with alternate timelines?
Fantastic news, awakening was a masterpiece. Hopefully this builds on it. Agree with the timeline point…. The last one had different generations, this may go further. Can’t see it being 2015….. Localization of these things takes a long time from memory. Great news though.
