New details on Speed Racer for Nintendo DS and Wii

Warner Bros Interactive Australia has today sent us the first details on the upcoming Wachowski Bros. Film, Speed Racer. The game is set in a fantasy world where car culture is the culture. The game is set to come to the PS2, Wii and DS, with the Wii version being developed by Gripshift developers Sidhe and the Nintendo DS version by Virtuos. According to WB, you will be taking place in the World Racing League racing with 19 other racers in your T180. More inside The car is not just a normal car, it has 4 independent turning wheels and jump jacks that allow you to jump, flip the car and perform car fu moves to take out other drivers. Story:
After uncovering the corrupt influence of Royalton Industries and smashing all his opponents in The Crucible, Speed Racer returns for his second year on the racing registry. However, this time, the illustrious World Racing League Cup is up for grabs. Who will be the fastest, most cunning racer to win the title is unknown. Watch out for Cannonball Taylor who has revenge on his mind, while choosing allies like Racer X, to overcome the challenges that this years circuit has to offer.
