Nintendo Australia has announced the release date for Mario Tennis Open in Australia and New Zealand. It’s coming out on May 24th which is a great date as its the same week as everywhere else in the world. Hooray for good dates!
Developed by Camelot Games, Mario Tennis Open brings the familiar Mario twist to Tennis. This new version contains more special games aside from regular tennis and full online mode with leaderboards and 4-player doubles play. For those who play locally the game fully supports download play so you can play local multiplayer with just one card. Why more games don’t support this we may never know.

Excellent news! Every time I see a new screen or new video of this game it just keeps looking better and better. In particular that Retro-Mario mini-game and the online multiplayer are taking my fancy.
