Nintendo Australia has confirmed the widely rumoured Mario Kart: Wii U Premium bundle and it’s of course out the same day as Mario Kart 8. That May 31st for those who haven’t already jotted it down in their calendar.

The Mario Kart 8 Premium Pack will contain a Premium Wii U console, a copy of Mario Kart 8 a is eligable for the Nintendo Network Premium program. The pack is also coming to Europe where it will contain a Wii Karaoke U 7-day trial as well.

The bundle is great value at $429.95SRP which is the standard price for a Wii U with Nintendo Land.

Will this Mario Kart 8 Premium Pack be the reason you buy a Wii U finally?

I’m surprised they couldn’t/wouldn’t go down to $399.95 but either way it’s good news that the bundle is indeed coming to Australia!

I was lucky enough to buy a Wii U Premium for $214 from Dick Smith when they were getting rid of all their Wii U stock at 50% off last year. I bought it the day the sale started late in the afternoon. A friend also bought a Basic the next day for $175.

Shows how popular the Wii U is 🙁 and I only bought cos of the price but I would highly recommend it even at full price. Underrated console and some great games out or nearly out for it (as opposed to the ps4/xbone which only have shovelware at this stage. You’ll be waiting at least 1 year for decent games).

If the brought the Mario & Luigi themed packs out here I would have bought a second WiiU console :_(

Cool, I might buy one of these for relatives if I can get it cheap through Amazon Uk or something… They remove the VAT I believe, But i’ll probably buy the rest of the console games locally….
