The both the Wii U and Switch versions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have just been updated to version 1.1.1 this morning. The update which Nintendo says makes for a ‘more pleasant gaming experience’ has reportedly has made the game’s frame-rate, especially when docked smoother.

Here is the full changelog from Nintendo;

Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

Early anecdotal reports are saying that the game’s performance has increased  generally and trouble areas like the Korok Forest have improved dramatically.

    Yep tested it in the jungle area in the south east. It was better. Even battles against multi enemies were much smoother docked. Thanks nintendo. Though I wish it was made a year.

    So one of the best games of all time (so I am led to believe) just got slightly more pleasant, lol. Good to see Nintendo on the ball and not just resting on their laurels. I am super keen to finally play it, but I have a trip to go on first and and also to finish Twilight Princess HD!

    Korok Forest is still seeing a lot of lost frames, but from my testing elsewhere we’re seeing a far more consistent framerate. I had no frame drops during rain/storms, and every previous offender of frame loss aside from Korok Forest seems to be virtually gone.
