Harmonix on Wii SD cards, Guitar Hero guitar usage for Rock Band 2
A number of details concerning the Wii version of Rock Band 2. As we know, the Wii version will finally have DLC, and Nintendo have solved the storage issue. Okay, not exactly solved. More like slapping a bandaid on it, but it’s a start: The DLC tracks can be read directly from the SD card. Which is good news for all of you with piles and piles of SD cards. They will not, however, allow games to be executed off the card just yet. More inside According to Harmonix: “”An SD card will probably be a must for ‘Rock Band 2’ Wii owners who want more than disc music.”” The tracks no doubt take up significant fridge space, but there is no set size for tracks. “”The longer the song, the more memory its going to take up. But its safe to say there wont be much space for users who are also taking advantage of Virtual Console and WiiWare.””
Compatibility with Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments remains unconfirmed.
