GAMES:

Nintendo will launch Club Nintendo Australia in Q2.
EA will buy out THQ.
Pikmin Wii will be officially announced.
The new Zelda will be officially announced.
Pokemon Platinum will be released in Australia.

OTHER STUFF:

Barack Obama will have at least one assassination attempt against him - not for anything he'll do, but for the fact that he's black.
Kevin Rudd will screw a ton of things up.
Nuclear power will come to WA to power one major city up north - Broome?

Only one awesome game will be released on the DS for the whole year, seen as Nintendo spoiled us this year and gave us two.

Guild Wars 2 will launch. Chibi doesn't resurface for a month.

3D Realms will release another trailer or screenshot for Duke Nukem Forever. Maybe both.

StarCraft II will either be released in October or not at all in 2009. If it is a trilogy, the Terran game will come first.

Kevin Rudd's approval rating will drop to 63%. Malcolm Turnbull's position will be shaky and Peter Costello will refuse to rule out another attempt at the leadership.

I will get a new phone when my hiptop dies.... again.

Movie Predictions!
The Dragonball movie will come out and fanboys/girls everywhere will cry. I mean, I love James Marsters. But seriously? And Goku looks like he belongs in the OC. >_>
Cloverfield 2 will come out and will be a bigger load of steaming crap then the first one.
The Fraggle Rock Movie will finally get a trailer and it will be AWESOME!
Monsters vs Aliens will be a delightful romp!
The new Harry Potter movie will come out. Harry Potter Fanboys/girls everywhere will weep, but kids will love it.
The Astroboy movie will be an epic fail. Shoulda been live action. >_>

Petstores that sell fashion for small animals will close and a whole lot less 4wds will be on the road.

The rumoured HD-Wii will stay a rumour.
More riots in Europe.
U2s new album will suck.
A cool star wars game that takes advantage of motion plus and wii-speak and maybe the balance board and the zapper will come out.

Funnily enough I was just thinking last night how the new U2 album 'No Line on the Horizon' will sell more copies than every good album that year put together.
