I use my iPod Touch to listen to music a majority of the time. But since space is at a premium, with podcasts, apps and games, I also use my older Sony Walkman MP3/4 player to listen to 'new' music (e.g. from the Album Club). If I want to listen to the radio on the go, I have to use my even older AWA MP3 player.

In this day and age of do-all devices, I find myself still using such 'secondary' devices.

Does anyone else find themselves clinging to, or stuck with using, devices that are supposedly superseded?

Not yet, but I am in the market for a new phone and am thinking of going android this time around. Considering keeping my iphone on me because of all the apps I've bought and as a glorified mp3 player... feels... so... glutinous.

I honestly don't think I do that. I use my iPhone as my device for pretty much everything portable, save for my 3DS/PSP etc for games on those platforms.

I still use a point and shoot camera when I want to take photos indoors, that might count.

I'm still devastated I lost my last iPod (2nd last of the scroll wheel models).. I think the capacity was 130gb. Would love to have that still for car use and take music off my phone.

I love my zune. Plus its great on battery life and I'd rather drain music and battery from a secondary device then have my phone be drained of it.

iPad in the car? I couldn't imagine that being easy to use. Never considered it tbh.

Is it better than using the GBA MP3 player? YES.

Car has ipad input built in, so I just plug it and leave it. Sits tucked in between the passenger seat and console. Easy enough to grab out and change songs at lights if i need to.

I also use my older Sony Walkman MP3/4 player to listen to 'new' music (e.g. from the Album Club).

similarly, I use my ipod shuffle for new/current music I'm listening to. where as my ipod will have the bulk of my library. But yeh, the whole supposedly superseded thing never crosses my mind. I'll use whatever i feel is necessary at the time.
