A thread simply to show off stuff you've made.

Could be anything, an impressive Lego build, a real project that involves tools, something artistic, a killer meal.. Anything. Just as long as it's something you've made or created, pimp away.

I'm launching with the KK Slider posters, still really stoked about these... Even though they've been gone since January.

What exactly is this KK Slider?

Anyway, here's some random stuff I've done with Photoshop. It's about as artistic as I can be, as I have no real talent.

Posted Image

This was a forum banner for a community that my friend and I started up for our year 12 History class. One of my favourite aspects of this is how well the flames blended in with everything. We were studying Revolutions at the time, in particular the French, and I loved how this helped portray the destruction. The storming of the Bastille is there too, as well as Robespierre. Possibly Lafayette and Louis XVII. I forget who all the people are here.

Posted Image

It's Alucard from Symphony of the Night! Yeah, nothing too special here. This is basically my main "style".

Posted Image

From back when I went as "Barbeque Equations". It was also the first time I tried having any sort of animation in a picture before. It turned out pretty well. I don't like the font for Saturos though. Yuck.

Posted Image

At one point in time, I had a Cyclo DS (DS flash card) - I made this Golden Sun theme for it. This picture went on the top screen.

Posted Image

Sniper Wolf banner. Why not?

Posted Image

Spawn! Yay!

Posted Image

At some point in time I had a username of Frost somewhere (possibly serebii.net) and this was my kick-ass Articuno banner. I do like how I made a silhouette of one of the sprites in the background.

Posted Image

So back in the say I had my own Nintendo forum *gasp*. It was mainly just me and some friends. This was the first banner I made for it. Although we had a really awesome one made priot to this by a Finnish acquaintance of mine.

Posted Image

This came from a brief stint of appreciation for Naruto, and Jump Ultimate Stars! It aso has an animation! Woo!

Posted Image

Leon! Help!

Posted Image

And of course, my infamous edits of Fire Emblem sprites to resemble Star Wars characters.

*insert photo of baby here* Though I only did like, %1 of the whole thing >_> *cough*

But seriously, here's some mandolls I've painted. Love a good bit of fiddly dood building and painting, when I'm in the mood, which isn't often these days :(

Oh, I can't find any uploaded good pics right now, so here's the Battalion Wars Lego I designed and ordered instead (see my blog if you want more info)

I don't have a pic of the one I made, but here's one from the interwebz.
Mine was made a little better than this since I used thicker card and took a lot of time with it. It stands around 8-10cm tall and sits with my other Nintendo stuff. I tried to make one I made larger and printed on A3 paper (2 sheets) but I must've warped the image when enlarging and it wasn't fitting correctly... Next stop, talk to my dad and get one printed out on large cardstock to hopefully stand around 2-3 feet tall. Will look awesome!

I made Pad Thai tonight. The rice stuff was still a bit chewy though, could have used more time softening. But it's fun to try cooking new things :D

Modified Nerf Barricade flywheel dart gun.

Voltage mod first up, running 3x 9V batteries in either series or parallel with a custom switch. (in case you don't want to crank 9x3+4.5 = 30.5V/2 = 15.25V through the max 12V rated motors :P. They're held in the magazine stored in the stock, attached via a loomed 6mm headphone jack modified to fit into the back of the gun.

There's a rheostat hidden in the stock to adjust the resistance to prevent your motor from burning out if you feel it over heating.

The trigger now has an actuated motor ignition when the trigger is half depressed, as opposed to chewing through your batteries while idle. Think TF2 heavy.

Connected to the circuit is also a custom peripheral jack in the form of a 6mm headphone socket, with an independent switch located on the handgrip. 2 attachments so far: Laser pointer and ultra bright 10mm white LED.

Each nerf dart head has been filled with resin, and the edges reinforced with electrical tape - because the motors were ripping the darts to shreds, and spinning the light things out of control.

Long barrel from a recon nerf gun has been modified to fit over the barricade end - only with a graphite lined PVC pipe to minimise any loss in bullet velocity on the off chance it goes astray within. This is mainly in place to allow for more precise aiming, holding the barrel for balance.
Was originally intending on putting an iron shot in each dart, and then installing a series of tight coils around the barrel, linking the speed of a phased relay up to the motors/rheostats to have a multi staged gauss gun, but realised it would be too frisking hard!

Best of all, all of the mods are completely removable to return the gun to a friendly unmodified state.

Next project: Putting a rechargeable battery into the circle pad pro, and dremelling down the included 3DS dock, including the top charging headers, attaching it to the CPP to create the ultimate 3DS accessory.

Pchan, ever thought of rifling the barrel so you get a good spin on the darts? It'll help the things fly straighter too, and with the added weight in the darts would help get more accuracy. All you need is a thread drill (not sure if that's the correct term) but you screw it with the slightest indentation down the barrel to give a nice spiral run, but has to be really open and extended. The air will make a good spin around the dart, in theory should be an improvement. Try it on another piece of pipe to see if it helps first.

Wouldnt work on the flywheel guns. Needs something to accelerate it down the barrel, eg compressed air down a sealed chamber.
Works for the bolt action style guns.. Kinda. Ends up shredding the foam sides of the dart, and slowing it down too much. :(
A solution is to ake the darts harder, the barrel/rifling smoother and precise, and have a stronger source of combustive compression - but this would essentially be turning it into a real gun.. So perhaps not.

Ha! I knew someone was bound to posta baby sometime.

Back on track, my band made a demo mix today. 9 hours in a recording studio! Woo! Will pet sound bytes soonM
