Don't really want to touch your spoiler, in case I ruin something for myself.

On a slightly related note, this music should be in the next Smash Bros game.

Also would it be too much of a stretch to see Shulk in the next Smash Bros? He could weild the Monado and use his arts as his B attacks (and maybe some Smash Attacks too). Also his Final Smash could be a Chain Attack involving three random party members from the game. A guy can dream right?

Good choice of music there Phantom Ganon; it's a fantastic battle tune that can really get you into the heat of the moment. "Now it's Reyn time!" :P

Any excitement and hype towards this game is genuinely well deserved, as Xenoblade has been simply amazing right off the bat. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the simple act of exploring is genuinely enjoyable and exciting, especially with how the game rewards you for doing so. Battles, even against weak enemies, have yet to get too stale or repetitive either, as the pseudo-real time battle system really mixes things up, along with being able to control different party members as your primary character.

It has been quite a long time since I have enjoyed and smiled so much towards a game; the last of which was when I first started playing TF2 with its very unique take on the FPS genre. I'm very glad that I decided to give this game a chance, and I can see myself being busy playing this gem for some time to come! :)

As for my current progress, you can read below (don't read if haven't left the starting area yet):

Just as a silly aside, I motion to change the thread description to "Xenoblade Coming to PAL - Let's not lose our heads though!"

Question for those who have the game.

1. Where did you buy the game?
2. Which version?
3. how much?

It seems that I've missed the boat and am finding it really hard to find the bundled version at a good price. the only place so far is ebay with a copy going just over $100 from the UK - the seller has 5 copies and I don't know whether I should buy it if I know there might be a second round of shipment. So basically what do you guys think I should do? Do you think certain retailers (online or not) be getting anymore in?

oh and buying the game by itself is not an option.

Playa:

1. JB Hi-Fi
2. Standalone (but it did come with the sample soundtrack, which I think is in all copies)
3. $99

First time in a long time I've payed full RRP for a game, but I can't think of a game more deserving. but yeah, you might'v missed the boat.

Playa:

1. JB Hi-Fi
2. Bundled (soundtrack is standard, but the disgusting red controller... basically free. Same price with or without)
3. $99 also

I walked in on release, asked the people about it, said they didn't have the controller in stock, but the game alone would cost the same. I'm currently waiting on my ugly red controller.

Haven't seen it anywhere else worth paying the $$$ for.

1. GameTraders
2. Standard
3. RRP $99 but used trade ins (traded in Donkey Konga amongst other games)

@PhantomGannon: the video I linked is basically the theme song with a bunch of random scene snippets from the show - should give you a general idea about the show

Wow... just watched the Neon Gen clip... so many memories of what freaked the living heck outta me. Late on Monday nights... SBS, really eerie. I have the "Platinum collection" box set of the series... looks like I might have to venture back into watching it again. Some of the scenes I don't remember, but then again there were so many alternative endings and movies related that no wonder I could've missed something.

As others have basically said, JB is your best bet. I haven't seen any copies at EB Games, GAME, K-Mart or Big W. JB Hi-Fi ftw.

1. JB Hifi
2. Standalone (with soundtrack)
3. RRP $99 but got it for 'free' when I traded in House of the Dead: Overkill, No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2

Really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this one during the weekend.

Keep going borgy, it gets better. Somehow.

I've just arrived at Gaur Plains, I don't know how this makes sense but the game opens up even more. So brilliant, and the battle system makes me want to fight stuff rather than avoiding it all.

Phants, I'm pretty much finishing Gaur Plains.. but every time I start to end my quests, I get a whole load more. I'm avoiding Colony 6 for now, completing the quests available, finding stuff, exposing map... can't wait until I'm like level 75/80 and can go and thwart some of those mega beasts that sit around waiting to kill you when you're within distance.

Consider me impressed. Xenoblade just keeps on getting better and better, and it makes me want to keep coming back for more again and again! I should try and tone down my playtime a bit, but it's just that good.

Oh and Phantom Ganon, that definitely is some kickarse boss music! It really drives you to press on during those major story fights.

Minor Spoilers ahead for the Vookians. Read on if you're up to/past the Gaur Plains.

Have you returned to Colony 9 with Sharla yet Toadsili? I decided to head back to Tephra caves, complete a few quests there, some elusive gathering and then some quests from the infantry people at Colony 9. It just seems to never end!

Oh, and when you're running around the higher places in the plains, or heading into the Ether mine, just looking out at day, seeing the Bionis' sword sticking out, and at night, the creepy Mechonis' eyes glowing in the distance... so much atmosphere, just to remind you that you're on a giant "god" of the past... I LOVE IT!

I think you should put some of that in spoiler tags, considering there are still some people who have only just started.

Come on! Don't go ruining all the fun for everyone. :( I think I'll avoid reading that spoiler as well, although that won't stop me from making my own speculations at this stage. :P

Yeah go easy on the spoilers everyone. By that I mean any character additions to the party, plot points etc. If you're not sure, put it in spoiler tags.

Played for about 2 hours just now, did not advance the story an inch, having a bit too much fun helping people out.
