Anyway, Suicune and the other dogs are running legendaries. Meaning you have to find them in the grass. Once you do that their location will appear in the Pokedex and you can track them via that.

Somewhat, it works the same way as in Crystal so you'll have to find where it's standing and chase it off to the next area for awhile until the game lets you battle it.

Also, I didn't know that Syndicue meant Suicune for a moment.

Who else loves the touch screen controls for everything? I nearly jizzed when I dragged a Pokémon out of my party into Box 1.

Yes, although some of the locations may be different.

Yeah but according to Serebii he pretty much goes on a streight path though, last I saw him was at the little bit north of that island in Johoto.

Yeah I know the other dogs run around, I've seen them on the map (but I just havn't been able to find them yet).

It's really poor form to use a pokéball when battling an opponent, but do people do it anyway? (ie a game opponent rather than an IRL Wifi battle)

Huh? You can't capture a pokemon already owned by a trainer. Why would you throw a pokeball?


Anywho, I've got 7 badges now and am up to the Radio tower takeover. This game is just as addictive as the original.

In Pokémon Colosseum you can capture another trainers Pokémon. Although that has moral restrictions.

I almost left my Pokewalker in the pocket of my work uniform today when I threw it into the uniform disposal. It would probably have served me right for breaking factory rules and carrying a personal device within the workspace, but the only lesson I learned is to not forget about it.

Is the Safari Zone the earliest place you can get a Mr. Mime in this game? I've only got the first few gym badges but need to know which area I should be mindlessly rushing towards.

Because alot of you now seem to think I'm some sort of Pokemon anti-christ just for the record, I love the Pokemon series, I've played them since Blue to Silver to Emerald to Leaf Green to Diamond to now Soul Silver. I'm just for some reason I don't know why not feeling it when it comes to Soul Silver, I'm not that far into it true, not even an hour but I'm just feeling like I've done this soo many times before (5 in fact) and I dunno while its still good its just not holding me like it has in the past. I don't know if thats cause I've already played Silver when it came out or I'm just sort of getting a little bit bored of the whole Pokemon formula (something that I don't think will change for along time given how most pokemon fans have reacted to the pokemon spin off games like Ranger and so on). Maybe I'll just leave it a few weeks and try and get back into it later but yeah just not feeling it at this stage.

*Puts up flame shields and waits for the Pokefans to tell me I'm wrong and stupid*

Also at Phantom Ganon, what the hell was wrong with Diamond and Pearl, I thought they were great I've never enjoyed a Pokemon and gotten into the whole breeding and training stuff as much as I did that game.

I think the whole status updates thing was tongue-in-cheek stuff. It was for me anyway.

What I didn't like about DP? Boring wild Pokémon choices, 4th gen Pokémon suck for the most part, annoying overworld perks like being bogged down in snow, crap use of the touch screen. Dunno if this is just coincidence but I think they turned down the wild Pokémon rate in HGSS. It's definitely noticeable when you turn off the Running Shoes.

I really got into breeding and training in DP too, that's why DP's gonna be my storage cart now.

4th Gen was an improvement over 3rd, but yeah still horrible (I like the locations in 3rd the most though).

Even though I never finished Sapphire, I found the environments, music, Pokemon and general spirit of the game to be very good - there is a certain 'feel' I had with the game, if you will. However, it's nowhere near as strong as my Silver lust, that is unmatchable.

SoulSilver is getting close to the old Silver feel I used to have as a ten year old - it's not there quite yet, but I'm certainly feeling it. Hard to explain.

I think I made a similar post regarding Diamond and Pearl, the game world and Pokemon just didn't grab me. It's the first Pokemon game that I just couldn't be arsed finishing and I left it when I entered Victory Road.

Pretty much same here Ninja. Really started to lose me around 3rd Gym and I managed to drag myself to the 8th one. Then I told my brother to finish the game off for me.

I finished Pearl- but iddno, it was an alright game- but it had no Pokemon magic.

I've kind of set myself for disapointment by hyping myself for Gen 5.
