I do this quite often, as my computer can very painfully slow at times...

I hardly have to 'drag a cursor all over the place'.

Once again popo, you're trying to tell us what is usual, and yet I'd say our experience of such things is significantly greater than yours. Amongst people with some level of PC knowledge (ie gamers), making frequent use of keyboard shortcuts is standard practice. Perhaps next time, don't automatically assume that something is weird or unusual just because you're not personally familiar with it.

Windows Key followed by U then enter.
I'll even launch programs from the keyboard, thanks to autocomplete on the run command (WIN + R) often I'll launch photoshop WIN+R, type ph then arrow key down and enter.
Anyone that uses a computer a lot should use shortcut keys, they're time savers.

I never used to do that, I slightly remember Windows Key + S for shut down? Cos I used to do it all the time back in win 95/98.
I only ever lock my computer anyway, thats windows+L

Nope I'm pretty sure that out of everyone who uses PCs in the world, the average is people using the mosue to navigate menus. He wasn't talking about shortcuts EN, he meant the actual getting around fold-out branch menus.

indevelopment, I use Windows->U->U (instead of enter). Does something similar to that work in Windows 7?
