I try to avoid the bogan gatherings. They make me rage too much. I'm not one to normally care about all those rules about the australian flag, but it seems a bit hypocritical when people start throwing them around and wearing them as togas in Kings park.

I'm with Plasma & Chibi. I am something ridiculous like 6th generation Australian and it gets me so angry about the bogan flag-wavers confusing patriotism for pride in your nation. Why do so many young people believe that drinking to get hideously drunk in public and cause fights and make a scene is 'Australian' behaviour? It's dickhead behaviour and that's it.
You don't have to be drunk and disgracing the flag by wearing it as a cape to be proud of your country but it's morons that partake in that behaviour that make me a lot less proud to be called 'Australian'. I hate being lumped in with these neanderthal bogans.

You need to cheer up buttercup. Theres nothing wrong with being a bogan, just like there is nothing wrong with looking like an emo. I enjoy wearing my colours and having drinks, I'm all about having a good time. I don't cause fights or arguments, heck, I've never even been in a fight. I think you just need to lighten the f*ck up and quite being such a downer. Theres nothing wrong with wearing your nations colours and having fun. I just think some of you people need to expierence a new kind of fun instead of just staying with in your comfort zone and not trying something new.

Dude, I'm up for pretty much anything. I've tried alot of stuff already at my age and I didn't start drinking reguraly until last year. I hardly ever get inebriated, most times I take 7 or 8 stubbies for the night and I'm done. I don't like going over board.

I don't do everything drunk, I've done heaps of new things without being intoxicated. I've been to plenty of music festivals and never been drunk. I've gone skinny dipping while sober. Just because I'm young and like alcahol doesn't mean I'm gonna start fights. I drink beer majority of the time cos it's not known to be an agressive alcahol.
