It probably has something to do with the fact that almost all guys are obsessed with sex, and will do whatever it takes to improve their chances of getting it.

Also, what about when you open the door for a lass, and they don't say thanks or smile or even say nothing at all, but look at you like "OMG I CAN OPEN MY OWN DOOR WE HAVE RIGHTS AND STUFF GTFO" and might even chuck in a rather harsh comment. Errr... Just trying to be nice... Righto...

Man and woman who are equally skilled but the man gets the job? DESCRIMINATION.
Woman hits a man, no big fuss. Man hits a woman, F*CKING WIFE BASHER TIME FOR COURT.
It's things like this that piss me off, some women want to be treated exactly like men but want all the shitty bits we have to put up with left out.

WOMEN MAKE ME F*CKING FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF SOMETIMES

I'd love to disagree with you Popo, but I do know exactly what you mean.
Women are often treated better and less harshly then men. Things that would seem okay to do to guys, would seem grotesque to do a woman.

This example reminds me of our annual cross-country tun at school. While girls have to do a lap of the 5k or so course, boys have to do the 1.5k lap of the school BEFORE running the course. But we get no extra time to run the course, we have to finish within the allotted time same as the girls. I'm not the fittest of people and I finished outside of the time (I think it was 25 minutes, I can walk/jog the course in under 20 but not the lap of the school as well in 5) and I got yelled at. 'Mrs O'Meara is an old lady and she managed to walk it in 25!' Yeah, but she didn't do A LAP OF THE SCHOOL first. So what, girls are so weak they can't do a lap of the school? Or boys are tougher therefore they can go faster for longer? It's stupid I tell you >_>

Political correctness and equal opportunities has gone too far the other way these days. Women demand an equal right in EVERYTHING, yet sometimes the feminist movement nicely forgets that there are just some things that men are better suited for. For instance, how many female bricklayers or carpenters do you see. Sure, you might say that this is because they would get rude comments at work, but also they simply, on the whole, are not cut out for demanding physical labour in the same way that men are. In the same light, men are not suited to some jobs that women excel at. Each sex is suited to different things, and its annoying when feminists want an equal slice of the pie..... but conveniently forget some parts.

I stopped reading at this piece of wrong.
It's only an "ism" if you make it one. Men think they are treated bad, femnazis think they are treated worse, straight men are upset they can't use the word "fab" anymore. Srsly, stop making yourselves victims just because you can.

Yep instead of reading your post I'm just going to say what I want anyway and criticize you. Brilliant idea.
"Srsly", his post raised valid problems with today's society - your're not a heterosexual white male so how would you know that it's wrong? Unless of course you.

As an example, females can hold a pro female rally, men cannot because that shows them as being chauvanists.
Black people can hold a "WE'RE BLACK AND PROUD!!" rally, ever see white people do that? Of course not, they would get branded as aryan supremacists and part of the KKK
Gay people hold gay pride rallies all the time, wander around wearing next to nothing making sexually explicit gestures, media calls it a family friendly event, bring your kids. Seen hetero people act in the same way? Of course not, they'd get arrested for indecent exposure.
Society these days is too scared to come down on any minority group for fear of being called intolerant

Gays and other groups hold rallies or protests when they are actually protesting something, and most of the time I think those protests are stupid too. What would white straight men protest? The only case I can think of where women will be given preference over men is in child custody cases, yet this is an incredibly touchy subject and involves INDIVIDUAL cases, not men as a group. If we were to take your theory, santouras, all women should get custody of children because that's their job lol!
And using the word "minority" incorrectly is fail.

The whole men should wear a suit/formal wear to work thing is absolutely ridiculous in the Australian climate. Women do get off easier because formal/semi formal/neat casual wear for women is much more varied and climate friendly than men's wear. Of course a dress code (in effect) for one gender only is grossly unfair.
However, there is often an expectation that women need to wear make-up to work to be respectable. Also buying sensible, comfortable and attractive shoes that are suitable for the workplace can be challenging at times, though this is getting better.

If a man and woman are equally skilled for the job, it isn't discrimination either way whoever ends up with the job. There are a lot of whingers out there that moan "discrimination", but they're kidding themselves. Just ignore them like all the other rational people out there.
As far as violence goes, men do tend to be more the aggressors than the victims, though this is not true all the time. However, if you look up some statistics on the issue, only 1/3 of women that experience "physical assault by a male perpetrator" report it to the police, and 1/5 of women that experience sexual assault. Even fewer of these cases proceed to court. Certainly, "man hits a woman" is not going to go very far.

Kevin Rudd recently gave out bonuses to disabled people and their carers, pensions and single parents and/or parents. What about the people who are single, young, male or female who work their ass off - where is our bonus? Sure they might NEED the money more then us, but those people are more likely rather then spend it are going to sit on it or pay off debts and not contribute to the economy as intended.
Your second paragraph, it makes no sense either.

Dammit VOOK, I had a good reply ready for you and you went and stealth edited your post.
Also, statistics show that the groups that received the bonus are more likely going to spend it than the young workforce who didn't get a payout. Plus, to be honest, while the money would've been nice - did you honestly need it as much as say a single mother who's lost her savings in the stock market; or a disabled person who relies on a carer to make their life bearable?

The point of the matter is that gays/blacks/females can also speak openly about their opposites without serious eyebrow raising going on. Mugabe once told Tony Blair to keep "his little pink nose" out of their business. Imagine if bush/blair/rudd/etc said something in reverse? There'd be riots!
Look at shows like QE, where gays openly bash straight people for their lack of style, inability to properly groom themselves and the like. Read a forum like neogayf where the gays openly and brazenly pollute threads with homosexual innuendo's, but if a straight person says something of equal scorn in the other direction, they are bashed for being a homophobe and most likely banned.
Look at shows like The View which vocally promote feminist ideals to point of making me feel physically ill. It's absolutely disgusting
And yes also Etak, most children do end up in the custody of the female, even when they clearly aren't fit to raise the children, or haven't you seen those male groups fighting for fairer custody rights?
And yes, using the term "minority" in this context is a massive amount of irony, and if you couldn't pick up on this, well then its pretty obvious that we can't have a reasonable conversation on this topic.

I giggled after reading this paragraph. You can't honestly say that women are at a disadvantage in this regard - men have to find sensible, comfortable and attractive shoes that are suitable for the workplace as well. And in terms of the make-up, yes men don't wear makeup but it is considered we need to be clean-shaven to be respectable.
