The X Report - Episode 3

Alright guys, sorry for the delay, but finally ‘The X Report’ episode 3 is finally done. TXR ep. 3 covers 4 events, reasoning being; we were a week behind when it came to informing people of the results on TXR, so to catch up, I added two weeks worth of events into one episode.

These events include: BHTO Super SFIV:AE RanBat R4, CCH: Fighters Meet Up R3, GC Super SFIV:AE RanBat R3 and last but not least, Deakin Fighters Meet Up R2. TXR ep.3 will give you all the results from the event, stats for the top 3 from each event, some footage from the events, plus interviews with some of the players.

This week to shorten the episode, I have only included 1-2 questions from the interviews, but have uploaded the interviews as their own videos for those who want to check the whole interviews out. Let me know what you guys think of this format.

Again, thank you for either wanting to watch TXR, or accidentally watching it; we appreciate it. Feedback is always welcome – it is feedback from you guys that helped us to get to where we are now. Looking back at episode one, we have come a long way, but still have a long way to go, so please keep the feedback coming. Thanks for taking the time to check it out, comment, leave feedback, like it, tweet it, FB it, and everything else you do, you guys are legends. Cheers!

I have to say, I'm rather looking forward to seeing Australia get bodied at Shadowloo Showdown 2011. Props to you for being a part of the team making it happen. Always nice to see that we can get some big names over here.

Haha, thanks Takora. I think Super SFIV will be tough for the Aussies against the internationals, but I have a good feeling about MvC3 at the moment. Unless of course Justing Wong decides to come down last minute. =P

Thanks for checking it out, appreciate it mate. =]

Would be great to see some of the US names down here. Everyone loves the Japanese guys (and Gamerbee!) but I think it would be great to get JWong, Marn or even Valle down to school us.

After seeing Tokido at Final Round I think you should be a bit scared for MvC3 as well, just saying. Keep up the good work!

Sadly Jwong and Valle can't make it due to events being on the same day in the US. Marn is more then welcome to come down, though I don't think we would fly him down, not this year anyway.

As for TTC|Tokido in MvC3... he has to worry about his Aussie team mate: TTC|ToXY

Should come down Takora!

Oh, I've definately considered it, but several things have stopped me...

1. I'm terrible at fighting games, I wouldn't get past my first opponent
2. I don't know anyone in Melbourne
3. Timing isn't so great this year for me

Maybe if I was a bit better I'd have a crack at it, but for now I think I need to find an actual human opponent in my local area to play against, and actually sit down and learn a character. With a win rate of 40% in SSFIV, I think I'll need the practice. For now, I'll just support from up here by being a stream monster. And hopefully the audio won't drop out this time when you're doing some sweet rapping at the end.

Haha, fair enough man. Let me know if you change you're mind, and I will catch up with you when you come down and take you out with the international guests.

If not, see you on the stream! =]

I am so bad at fighting games that I once got talked into making up the numbers in a Tekken tournament and lost in the first round to a girl who had never played it before and was mashing buttons.

So it's not my genre per se, but I can appreciate anyone who takes something to an extreme level, like the StarCraft pros do.

Haha, nice ENKC. That term is called a 'Pot monster', basically someone who adds a bit more money to the pot that goes to the winner. But! At least you tried which is the most important thing. :D

Hoping to cover more then just fighting games, but just need there to be more events around here in Melbourne. Next event in 2 weeks is ACL which has CoD, Reach, FIFA and a few fighters, so I think that will have some good variety to cover.

Thanks for watching ENKC. =]

I ought to drop a note to say I watched, even though I'm nowhere in or around the competitive gaming scene. Nice work!

Wait, you mean there's a NAME for that? Here I was just thinking I sucked. 'Pot Monster' sounds cool. Like something off Sesame Street. Or what could happen when you smoke exotic herbs.

You may be onto something:

Damn it, now I'm imagining an origin story where Cookie Monster scored off Pot Monster and developed an insatiable appetite for cookies.
