After spending a bucketload on gifts, including flowers sent to her work... I proposed with a ring I ordered back in October!
She said yes (like she wouldn't, we own a house together).

Bad move there. You should've put all your savings in another account and them showed your regular statement. That's what I did. I pay my taxes and I'm not losing all my savings becuase the economy is shit.

My new Happy, as of around 4pm yesterday, I am a married man!
The rest of the day was very rushed, only had two drinks for the whole day/night... was so busy... but it was amazing, and was worth it!

Got to have an adult conversation with my to-be-ex-wife for the first time since she left. Was good to get some stuff off my chest and see where she is at. Still not a great deal of fun, but it's a step in the right direction.

Visited my physio today and he said I'm on the home stretch of my recovery. Past 2 weeks I've been walking around the house without crutches and the sense of freedom indescribable. Having mobility with your hands free is an amazing feeling, that you take for granted.
Kinda a long story, but around 8 months ago I suffered a really bad fracture to my foot(while stupidly playing soccer without shoes ). Was so bad that I needed to get a metal plate and some screws put in. Months go on by and I had to rely on crutches to move around along with having different types of casts, to eventually having no cast and progressively build the strength back in my leg and foot. The past months was brutally hard not just physically, but emotionally too. I got depressed for a bit, but being able to slowly walk now without the aid of crutches in the house has definitely lifted my spirits .
