The Simpsons: Bartman vs Radioactive Man is the first game I ever owned, but I had never finished it. I resolved to give it a proper good try this week while I'm down at home.
So I sat myself down to finally play. After fumbling around with my Toploader NES and a dodgy RF cable, I ended up resorting to the front loader.
And I finally finished it. It was the first game I ever owned, and here I am 20 years later having actually finally finished it. The feeling of accomplishment is just... just so great.

"Holy s$#@! What's this?" I asked my wife.
"Isn't that the game you wanted?" she replied.
"Yeah, it is. Thanks babe. You tricked me! But this is a WiiU game. I can't play it on my Wii." At this point I was somewhat confused. My wife isn't a gamer but she watches me play a lot of games and I've been going on about the WiiU quite a bit lately, so I was surprised that she'd gotten things a bit mixed up. Actually, I felt a little bad that she'd gone to the trouble of buying me a game that I couldn't play.
After explaining the dilemma, she said, "Oh. But I thought you wanted it?"
"I do but I also wanted a WiiU to play it on. Hey, let's go to the mall now and buy me one with my Christmas bonus!" A long shot, I knew, but I thought it was worth a try.
"I don't think so."
"Oh well, I'll get a WiiU someday so I'll just sit it aside until then."
10 minutes later, my wife asked me to get her a Panadol from the pantry because she had a headache. Off to the kitchen pantry I went.
We've just moved house. I didn't even know we were keeping our Panadol in the pantry, so I was ready for a search. I never found the Panadol. Instead, I found...
a WiiU Premium Pack!
"What the f$#@!" I shouted. "This is awesome!". I ran into living room, jumped up and down and gave my wife a big hug.
Best wife ever!
Have played NSMBWiiU for about 20 minutes and am having fun with it so far. We still haven't got our internet connected in our new home so I haven't been able to update the firmware yet. Once I'm connected again, I'll post my details for MiiVerse.

I really enjoy VOOKS and the friendships that i've made here. I still don't think I've met anyone IRL but amongst Internet buds, I count you peeps as the best.
But yeah, stunned.
Well done to everyone that won or got nominated

Got to have an adult conversation with my to-be-ex-wife for the first time since she left. Was good to get some stuff off my chest and see where she is at. Still not a great deal of fun, but it's a step in the right direction.

Visited my physio today and he said I'm on the home stretch of my recovery. Past 2 weeks I've been walking around the house without crutches and the sense of freedom indescribable. Having mobility with your hands free is an amazing feeling, that you take for granted.
Kinda a long story, but around 8 months ago I suffered a really bad fracture to my foot(while stupidly playing soccer without shoes ). Was so bad that I needed to get a metal plate and some screws put in. Months go on by and I had to rely on crutches to move around along with having different types of casts, to eventually having no cast and progressively build the strength back in my leg and foot. The past months was brutally hard not just physically, but emotionally too. I got depressed for a bit, but being able to slowly walk now without the aid of crutches in the house has definitely lifted my spirits .

My new Happy, as of around 4pm yesterday, I am a married man!
The rest of the day was very rushed, only had two drinks for the whole day/night... was so busy... but it was amazing, and was worth it!
