E3 2009 to return to former glory?

Ah, the old E3: The big stages. The fancy lights. The booth babes. The roaring of the crowd as one fantastic surprise is revealed after another. The booth babes. The thousands of people sandwiching you from all sides. Yes, it was practically every gamer’s dream to attend the show. But then they made a few changes and E3 as we knew it was gone. A bedtime fairy-tale for our children. Many claimed that this year’s E3 was to be the last – that E3 was dead. We caught news of E3 limping on for one more year and groaned. More inside But what’s this? Could new (or rather, old) life be breathed into E3? X-Play have revealed, perhaps leaked, that E3 is returning somewhat to the days of old at the LA convention center. The show is set for June 2nd – June 4th 2009, featuring a “”broader range of industry guests””, as well as being open to the public through ticket sales. Certainly sounds like it’s on track to become the classic E3 we knew and loved. No word on booth babes yet, though.

However the ESA has issued a no comment on the matter. So we’ll just have to wait for more news.
