It has been revealed just what players can expect the Samus and Metroid amiibo will do in the upcoming Metroid Samus Returns, when the game releases on 3DS this September. Details have also come to light on what the other Smash Bros Samus Aran amiibo will do in the game.

For those that scan in the new Samus amiibo, they will be able to give themselves an Elon Reserve Tank (special ability recovery), likely only to be used once a day and also a Metroid II Art Gallery, which shall be unlocked, once the game has been beaten.

For those with the new squishy Metroid amiibo, scanning in this amiibo will let you use the Metroid Marker, which will direct you to the closest Metroid, as above, I would expect some sort of limitation on this. Also for those that beat the game, this amiibo will unlock the Fusion difficulty mode.

The original Samus amiibo will grants players a Missile Reserve Tank (missile recovery) and again likely once a day and upon game completion, it will unlock the Concept Art Gallery.

Finally, we have the Zero Suit Samus amiibo, this will give players the ability to top up their health with the Energy Reserve Tank (energy recovery) and still likely once a day, with the final after game unlock being a sound test mode.
